Being designed for an absolute novice, this module addresses the basic questions raised in minds of beginners and then proceeds to explain more complex topics such as the anatomy of normal knee, its disorders, surgical procedures for the knee and the equipment that helps surgeon perform them. This module is not, by any means, supposed to be exhaustive and reading the literature provided by Endosys is highly recommended. The knowledge of all these things will be helpful to sell better as you will be able to understand and relate with the orthopaedic surgeon during your call. Understanding the subject is very essential as you will be able to discuss, with the surgeon, the intricacies involved in the surgery. This raises your stature in the eyes of a surgeon from salesperson to an equipment consultant and this elevation itself is the key to successful sales career in the field of medical equipment. It has been tried to keep different equipment under different chapters in order to facilitate better understanding. At times, though, topics may be merged for the sake of ease in explaining. On finishing each chapter, it is advisable to reminisce the whole chapter before proceeding to the next as this practise will aid better understanding and recall of different points covered.
