Handle of Instruments

The most proximal part of instruments, it is the only part that is in the surgeon’s hands during the surgery. Its function is to provide the grip for surgeon’s hands and allow the opening and closing of the jaws of the instrument. Modern day handle come with ergonomic handles that reduce fatigue and make it more comfortable for surgeons to use them at length.
